Why Twist Lock and not a clamp system? After much testing, we believe that the snap lock system adds additional weight to the middle of the pole. This affects the weight distribution and the pole's natural swing rate. In contrast to a touring pole with snap locks, the Twist Lock system offers a technical skiing experience similar to a fixed length pole with the ability to adjust the length. The twist lock system also provides length adjustment without compromising the sleek and aesthetically pleasing contour of the pole.
-
How does the Twist-Lock adjustment system work? It's very easy! Simply twist the upper section anti-clockwise against the lower section to unlock the system. Then pull/push the pole to the desired length. Finally twist the upper section clockwise against the lower section to lock the system. The new Twist Lock 2.0 adjustment system is sleek, robust and can withstand up to 70kgs of load if used correctly. Customers have been extremely happy with this new adjustment system and we are confident that you will love it too!
-
How do I secure the wrist strap? The wrist strap has two settings. When you receive the poles, the wrist strap will be easily adjustable by pulling the tab at the back of the grip. It can also loosen very easily. If you prefer to ski with the wrist strap firmly secured at a specific, remove the rubber cube from the housing and re-insert with the teeth facing down. Ensure the loop is at the desired lenght prior to re-inserting the cube.
-
Does the twist lock system slip? The Twist Lock 2.0 mechanism is tested to withstand up to 70kg before it is compromised. It is important to regularly (daily) check that the Twist Lock system is tight particularly when wet or when adjusting in different temperatures.
-
My poles are not locking?Occasionally when the locking mechanism is used for the first time, the mechanism can get stuck. This is very easily solved by watching this simple video guide below: If you continue to have issues locking the pole after following the video guide then please contact sales@playsnowsports.com and we will provide further assistance.
